Daniel is a recent grad with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and several years of experience working in the architecture and planning industry. Designing and fashioning things has been something he enjoyed doing since his childhood; eventually, he wanted to translate that into a career that could be used in service of helping others. His technical proficiencies in various programs like AutoCAD, Revit, the Adobe suite, Rhino 3D, and Lumion, as well as a passion for drawing, graphic design, film and photography led him to start DB Studios to teach, inspire, and vocalize aspiring professionals.

Tell us about your platform, Daniel Blanc Studios, what prompted you to start it and how do you imagine it growing?

If I had to describe DB Studios in one phrase it would be, “To teach, inspire, and vocalize aspiring professionals in creative and interesting ways.” I was known at Spitzer as a person who knew how to simplify and teach complex topics. In second year, a video I recorded went viral at school where I retaught a lesson from our Site Tech class on parking lot grading. That video circulated for the next 2 years for students that took the class after. My love for filming and photography also complimented my ability to teach; several of my friends that saw my photos and art told me I should make a page to exhibit my work. I didn’t only want to display my work. I wanted to enable others to do so as well. I want this platform to help students and professionals accomplish amazing tasks by seeing past the perceived limitations of a program. Sometimes the best inspiration is to show a person the immense capacity of his or her capabilities. I am aiming for a degree of versatility in my videos, that no matter what your background is, there is something everyone can learn. As for growth, consistency is key!

Your video Voice of the Future holds a powerful message. Who do you aim to reach and what do you want them to take away?

The aim for the mini docu-series, “Voice for the Future” is synonymous with the overall theme of my platform: To vocalize individuals from various backgrounds especially those entering the professional world. Each guest, including myself, will speak on an issue and discuss how it has affected them and/or society as a whole. The discussion is closed out with a positive prospect (“a solution”). I want these discussions to be a means by which people can empathize with one another; so many of us suffer in silence to, but I want to establish common ground. No matter the scale of your challenges, there are solutions and people who genuinely care. In addition, there will be many other projects with similar magnitudes coming to my channel as well.
